sure not a specialist but this look similar to a 37J1 or early (cotton) A1.
maybe something to follow, she looks in good quality.
hope someone of knowledge will confirm and determined precisely what it is.

Marcel, although it has a good look, I think this is a post-war civilian jacket incorporating different features from several military patterns .... a sort of compilation jacket.

The cloth version of the 37J1 did away with button closure, and is more detailed in the pockets, different fabric etc.

I agree that it would look a lot better unpatched.

You are probably right David... I was kinda hoping for the pre-war navy thing but it sounded a little too good anyway. Its funny how the hope for a spescial find kan distord your critical view. I mean, there's quite a few details wrong in this jacket when i look at it now but which i choose to ignore earlier. The zipper combined with buttons for instance...
