Just a thought, and I realize that the patch design might simply have been added for the film, but would that have been present on a naval-type A-1 (with the higher pockets)?

Great looking cape though - look at the creasing on the left sleeve and pocket. :mrgreen:

The jacket has the A1 look but is it one?
Only one button loop on the collar and the collar knit weave has vertical ribs
Love the grainy leather

No, as Ian says, naval-type A-1 ... so it's a 37J1, or version of one.
