What is this Insignia?

Do any of you guys know which squadron this Indian Head insignia is from? I'm assuming its a pre-war insignia since its on a SAT A-2.

I swear I think that might be an old Boston or Washington Redskins logo on his A-2. The Indian Head looks very much the same as their old logo..

Rollie Free and the Vincent "Black Lightning",1948. Sold as the fastest production bike and Rollie rode it like he stole it - 147mph. The gentleman in the A-2 might be John Edgar who owned the bike. Don't know anything about his wwii service.
