Vanson horsehide jackets

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're all well. I have a quick question - do any of you know how common, or rare, Vanson horsehide single rider jackets are? Actually, Vanson horsehide jackets in general.

I think I've only ever seen a small handful in photos only. Looking at Vanson's website, seems the Enfield models only come in medium weight or competition weight, and both now seem to be special order pieces.

Sourcing a preowned is the way to go but I'm interested in the horsehide options. Looking for your thoughts, thank you.

I didn't know Vanson ever used horsehide. Good to know.

I spoke with them today and apparently it was used very infrequently in the past and is no longer an option today. I was asking about whether or not I could order a new piece in it and was told unfortunately no.

Mostly horsehide by Vanson was the Enfield, but I have a Colorado and a cafe racer in HH by them.

They did an Ike in HH, and produced one for Orvis in HH as well.
