USN gloves

I just picked up a pair of USN flight gloves. Unlike most pairs I have seen these are more of a khaki, beige color than the yellow of most pairs I have seen. The stamps on the back of the gloves are a blue/gray 'metallic' USN in a box. The inside markings have the size in a triangle and S/2, 47, 15 above one another the right one has a 59 stamp inside.

Would anyone know what these markings stand for ? Also what era are these from ?

Mine are Brown (not yellow) They are from WWII as they were in the pocket of one of the M-422As I got. The pilot did not fly after WWII. I wil check tonight to see if there is any markings besides the USN stamped on it.
