Lets take as our baseline the simple fact that eastman are a 'safe' maker for me in terms of price, (lack of customs too) fit and general aesthetics..
Add the fact that I am a helpless label snob whenever possible and am easily sold on the advertised nuances of 'maker' brands, meaning that the 'house' jacket rules itself out.

If you want to shop within the UK you've got ELC's Navy jackets and Aero's Bronco. That's about it.

The Eastman 'house' A-2 is still available in goat (dark or lighter shades), they are and have always been a good jacket..

My first ELC A2 was the house model (44") in goat with the repro talon zipper, very nice jacket.....still have it but never really wear it anymore so it's pretty much in new condition.
