Were the size tags in the WWII A2 jackets labeled as just a 40, or did they also use the the letter R, and L, like in a size 40R or 40L?
I'm guessing not, but don't know for sure.

All the original A2s i have owned/own just have the size tag not L, R, or S. But these letters were used on B3s.

Gone, but not forgotten.
Aero Leather were the only known exception, occasionally their size tags included the letter R ... probably they were using tags in stock, originally ordered for other garments.

Since this thread was started I have seen a RW 1401-P with an M next to the size on paper pocket tag. This is unusual for RWs I believe and is not present on the size tag on my RW from the same contract.
