a few years ago I landed an elc house a-2 in seal goat skin. my intent was to see if it could be remade into a cable raincoats 10008-p a-2. I floated the idea with Steve, and he wrote that it could be done. I sourced new knits,, liner material, a proper nomenclature label, and zipper elements. all sent to Steve. he re worked the pocket flaps to emulate the design of the cable a-2s, took down the seal color to a dark russet, relined it with the yellowish brown liner, and replaced the knit elements. when Steve had finished and sent the jacket back to me, I milled the repro zipper box to the shape of a kwik zipper box and installed a kwik look alike puller. impressed? I certainly am. in fact imo Steve has shown yet again the masters touch.
