Andrew (Leadsky), John appears to have done a fine job on the copy of your original 48 HH Perry - had it been a copy of a smaller original jacket I'd have been very interested (the subtle colouring looks astonishingly like the patinated hide of the original). Does anybody have experience of how this Vermont Espresso weathers in regular use?

My friend bought the Perry, and John put "sold" next to the item on his site. I see no other sold remarks, so maybe you should hold your breath a bit longer. You never know.

Glad he made the sale. Got an email from John yesterday morning, I think, (just made a 39hr rounder ridin' freight trains and time tends to get a little warped with an odd schedule) and he said he has an interested buyer. I was looking for a deal but I have to tell ya, and I know most of you already know this, although I haven't seen one of his jackets in person he seems to have it all down as far as the A-2 goes. I'm going to have to take the plunge and have him make one for me. I'm still drooling over all the jackets he has on the for sale section on the website, wish I was a couple sizes smaller! Nothin' like a little horse hide porn!
