receiver endlessly in place

hello,

i took time this morning to place the receivers AN-H-1 in my flying helmet N288s.
wow, what a bad moment.
now that it's passed, i can say ....no problem, it's easy.
i say easy because i have a good helmet with good rubber.
if not maybe they were broken now.
at the beginning, i try to place the receiver simply by forcing to go in place
no result
by the inside, by the outside.....
after a moment, idea.... dismount the receiver.
great that was it.
i found the way to place correctly the receiver but now .... the inside part.
damned, another problem. how to place her inside the rubber of the N288S.

and after a long moment that i was fighting with this ( +%¨**/.%£¨*/.) flying helmet; my wife say : ''may i try something?''.
pffffffff my wife ...helping me with this part of military equipment :lol: .....military means MAN :evil: .
okayyyyyyyy go ahead, try it if you want......
she left the living room, go to the kitchen, came back with liquid hand-soap and......5 min later ; the first one was in place.
than proceed with the second.
and that's all........easily i said...easyyyyyyyyyy
pfffff when you have a problem, just ask to your wife.

Been there and done that but didn't think of the soap. :idea:

I found the only way was the bend the ear cup and maneuver it into place. The rubber cups do have to be still flexible however. Good tip if I ever try it again, but at the moment I have limited my AAF flight helmet collection to one A-11 (and a shabby old B-6 and A-9 for my boys to play with).

but i don't think you give the helmet just to play.....
