REALLY nice '63 G-1

I've got one of these Irvin Foster 1963 'short zip' 7823B G-1s, and they're very, very nice. If you're after one, here's your chance:

What's the explanation for the short zip? Looks a bit odd, as if there should be snap at the bottom to compensate.

I have had a couple of these "short zip" B series I Foster jackets. Personally I did not like the way they look when worn zipped up....there is a big separation below the zip base and they just look weird. FWIW, the Edwards B series jackets do not have these odd zippers.
