RAF Brevets

There's a lot of variation in the design of these brevets - is it possible to date them, from before, during or after
WW2? I think 'RO' was Radar Operator but this was changed to Radio Observer due to the implications for the airman if captured - I'd like to be put right if anyone knows.

The only way I date items ( and i'm sure you already know) to at least pre QEII is by the crown-ie King's vs Queen's.
