I've noticed comments concerning the overspraying of the leather used in making new flight jackets. What exactly is the process and what is its purpose? Thanks :?

Gone, but not forgotten.
It was common to recolour by overspraying during depot refurbishments, but it would be unusual in the making of new jackets.

Do you have an example?
