Hi,
This type of aircraft the P2Y built by Consolidated dates 1929. It made its first crossing of the Pacific from San Fransico to Pearl Harbor Hawaii in January of 1934. It's usefulness within the USN was cut short by the introduction of the PBY in 1934.
