Gentlemen

We have here this rare bird, the TYPE N-2 Heavy Flying Jacket made by REED PRODUCTS, this is one of a series of nylon flight jackets adopted when WWII ended, also it is the earliest version of the TYPE N-2 series.

The construction is made of olive green nylon, featuring a shearling lined hood trimmed in wolf fur and note the leather oxygen clip tab.

Condition is amazing considering is over 70 years old.

Hope you enjoy it and stay safe!

Jorge

Awesome jacket, Jorge.
Always loved N2. My first one...When I was 20 years old (and this was alas long ago), one of my friends gifted to me contract green N2B jacket (he got it in West Germany) and I weared it 2 winters. I was young, and now of course I wouldn't be able to survive Russian winter in such short jacket as N2B :). In the end, someone stoled it. Of course, at that time I didn’t know much about the nuances of a flight jacket, but now I understand that it was old N2B because it had Crown zippers, I remember.

Funny, one of my first flight jackets was a N-2B repro from Alpha Industries (still made in US), I was so happy when I found it, that was like 10 years ago!!! Man, time flies.....
