ORIGINAL BOWLER’S SHIRT & UNIFORM CO. INC. FROM NORTHROP YF-17 “COBRA” PROTOTYPE

Gents,

It’s been a while and today I would like to share an interesting example worn by the crew of the Northrop YF-17 Cobra prototype on the 70’s.

This example is made by Bowler’s Shirt & Uniform Co. Inc. This manufacturer also made jackets for Lockheed, Grumman, Douglas programs among others.

Upper left chest depicts a name tag, embroided “Jerry”

Left chest depicts a Northrop F-5 Tiger II patch.

Right chest depicts a Northrop YF-17 Cobra Paris 1977 patch.

Left shoulder depicts a Northrop patch.

Right shoulder depicts the USA flag patch.

The back depicts a large Northrop patch.

The condition of this jacket is immaculate, which is rare considering it is over 43 years.

To be honesty, Jorge has so impressive and cool collection and apparently so serious sources of its replenishment that I wouldn't be surprised to see one day his photo in a spacesuit.
