Here is a nice example how to save a otherwise screwed-up patch:
I wanted to paint the complete patch but after I had finished it I noticed that the blue background was far too dark...there was almost no difference between the gremlin's face and the sky.
I was going to throw it away, when Jeff / DUBOWA2 suggested to cut the character and sew it to a new blue disc...so here is the result:
