Mouton Matching - Extreme Edition

I made an incredible realization that I have a perfect matching mouton to this original mint Ralph Edwards G-1. The mouton on the Edwards is not faded and retains it's original dark color. I have collected a lot of vintage mouton over the years. I have a stock of dark brown that I got from vintage mouton coats. When I received the mint RE, it reminded me of this mouton, so I dug it out and BOOM! Match:

My minty RE B from '61 has the same darker brown mouton. It's the premier of the G-1 collection.
Also interesting, is comparing the original knits with everything else nowadays. They are slightly thinner, tighter weave, longer tunnel part, firm and still retain their stretch & shape.
