Gents:

Mark (VLJ member fishmeok) does awesome work:

Here is a Lincoln Brigade jacket (circa 1936-38 probably USA made jacket worn by anti-facist volunteers - the good guys - during the Spanish Civll War)

See thread:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3767&p=37033&hilit=lincoln+brigade#p37033

Some had buttons for pockets, others A-2 style snaps. Also went with slightly nicer A-2 pocket flaps. An A-1 w/ a zipper is an oversimplification but you get the idea.

Latest cape via Good Wear - great hide!

Mark's work is top drawer, highly recommend him to anyone - super high standards.

This cape is terrific, I think it looks a bit over textured in close up pics but don't let that fool you, great in person, super comfy.

Mark's Company is: Superior Flight Apparel:

One handsome piece of goods.
Just one thing, I see "SFA" and can't help thinking Saks Fifth Avenue.

That's one up from me (in the gutter: sweet Fanny Adams...)

But back to the jacket - very smart pattern John.

Beautiful jacket but I can't help thinking that it looks too much like an A-2 with a knitted collar rather than an A-1 with a zipper, if you follow my meaning.

Excellent jacket, great to see craftsmanship and determination culminate in such a product.
The zip makes it more contemporary, as opposed to the very '30-ish buttoned A1.
Almost odd to see a leather flight jacket without a windflap over the zip.
That's a basic A1 pattern all the way, isn't it?

Not sure if enough VLJ'rs know how good Mark is at this - he's REALLY accomplished!

I would order again w/o hesitation!
