This emblem was done originally by the artist that did the Flash Gordon cartoons ,his name was Alex Raymond, your image is slightly different than his first one,in his drawing the bomb is longer and has two rings around front of the bomb's nose,and the very pretty gal is leaning futher back with a much thinner/longer lightning bolt which extends outside of the disc background,also the bomb is all red with the two bands and highlights in white.
