I don't see how it would be a liner with those outside pockets :?:

yeah its a toughie but what is that gizmo on the collar? BTW current brit issue fleeces have pockets and are not to be worn as outer garments..

It would seem foolish to have a pocket on the upper sleeve if its worn under another overcoat. The gizmo appears to be a zipper for a detachable hood. I would guess it's simply a civie hybrid. :?

Interesting. It does look like a liner of some sort. The font of the USN is identical to my WW2 N-1. Title of the listing is funny " Rustic nylon" !
