Hybrid D-1?

I saw this while poking around on greed bay today. It looks like a B-6 but tagged as a D-1. Was there some sort of hybrid mix of the two or is this some sort of Frankenstein jacket the seller is trying to foist off on someone?

It’s a pretty jacket, but it’s a mute point as I will never be able to fit a 38. I just wondered if was some type of rare flight kit that I hadn’t heard of before.
