I found a folder of mine going through my files- "Great Old Eastman". I don't know if these photos are from here but the jacket reminds my of my first Eastman circa 1989. A guy at the VA hospital where I worked had one and after years of horrid Avirex crap I heard trumpets in my head..."there is a jacket God after all!"
After some early morning calls to Eastman's in England I received the best repro of that time! I saw a way through to my goal of getting a new original A-2 jacket. I loved it.
This isn't that same jacket but my first Eastman was a bit like this. Too bad nobody has that steerhide any more. Not the bespoke smooth of later years and not the overly gnarly stuff of today. Just right!
Nothing better in 1989 and it paved the way for a superior repro!
