Gibson and Barnes G-1's do they also run "big"?

I am in the process of ordering a G&B issue G-1 (not the M-442 they also produce) In trying to research sizing issues here, am I correct that they seem to run a bit big? I have read several threads talking about their A-2's running big, but I missed specifics on the G-1 being big as well.

My chest is 48, but I usually go with a 50 due to binding in the shoulders. The 50 usually gives me a better fit in the waist as well. But, if they do run big then a 50 would be too much.

Anyone with any experience with their regular G-1? Thanks.

I wear a 42 in most A2s repro types and 44 in original A2s. I ordered a 42 ANJ-3 from GandB which is a G-1/A-2 combo. It was huge. I ended up with a 40 which fit. So, yes they do run big.

Thanks for the confirmation. I went with the 48. We will see how it goes in a couple days when it gets here.

I think you have made the right choice, I am a 42" in most jackets. But in a G&B I am a 40".
