hellooooooooooooo

rummaging on ebay as usual I see beautiful things, I torture myself, aso ...

I often spend my time poking photos that sellers don't protect : twisted :: twisted :: oops :: oops:
I complete my folders

and this is a fine example of what I can find
this is the first time I see this how-to put a patch on a jacket.

a flat leather lace instead of the traditional sewing point
it gives a nice effect but houlalaaaa small meander loops to lace
I hope that no one will want to remove a patch placed by this way

here are the pictures

It is very uncommon to see leather used to stitch a patch on. I'm sure it was done as anything is possible.

I tried to research out A.H. Watts with no success when I first saw the group. According to the ribbon bar on the accompanying uniform, he definitely saw some action as long as it is his. Sadly some of these fighter squadrons just don't have much info online which is really too bad.

It's a cool set for sure. I do like the P-47 painting on the front!

Here is the guy:

Alanson Harold Watts

I could not easily find anything about him except he crashed a plane in training.

Wow, that is for sure a very different way to attach a patch on a jacket, I bet it was tough getting the leather to go through both the patch and the jacket leather!

Very cool art work witht he little cartoon P-47 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
