Lots of killer chain-stitch keyholes I can't do.... correctly.
Suit weight(approx 14oz) wool gabardine. Worsted.
Bi-swing back with HBT ribbon in the creases. And wool gabardine takes dye great!
I'd tack down, but would still include, the attachments for the heated insert. Because of that they run big.
Cool jacket project IMO.
What say ye Fishmeok and all?

WWII. Came in after the earlier E-1/F-1 "Blue Bunny" electric suits. Later the F-3 nylon heated suit replaced the F-2 so they were only used in maybe '43-'44.
The F-2 was unique in that it was the only heated suit to be worn as an outer garment, using a special heated insert(My F-2 trousers have the insert but it's really rare to find them still in the jackets). The F-2, like the "Blue Bunny", was plagued with electrical problems.
Yeah they are getting pretty hard to find. I've seen only 2-3 for sale in my years of collecting.
Might be a fun repop!
