ELS A-2 Flight Leather Jacket

Hey all,
I was been busy on other props making so I couldn't done flight jakcets in last year.
Luckily I got time in holidays season and made my first A-2 flight jacket.
Please check the images and let me know which patches should I add on this jacket or just leave simple it?

Alligator skin? Advice? Get hold of trashed original wwll a-2 and take it apart. This will give you insight as to how they were made, and are still made by better companies making reproduction a-2s. Oh, and use horse hide, goatskin, or cow. Reptile skin or whatever you are using is best suited for boots, shoes, ladies purses, etc.

The knits you've used are not very pretty also.

This is buffalo top grain leather.
It's 1.1mm thicker but soft leather, best for leather jackets.

Craftsmanship looks very good.
Perfect stitching lines, perfect stitching holes intervals, good non plastic thread with correct thickness .

You are right. As I wrote above this is my first A-2 style jacket, so I'll develop more better jackets soon.

Ken’s Aero Leather offered buffalo hides for years.

I think it’s a good 1st attempt. You should be very proud of yourself. Take some time now to figure out the more intricate details of original A2 jackets and incorporate them into your next jacket.
