Hi Guys:

I have another Irvin jacket I would like to find out more about such as approximate date and name of manufacturer.

It is a four panel jacket. It has the original zips in place. They are marked Lightning on one side and AM on the other. It has all the electrical leads and connections intact.

If any other information or photos are required please let me know.

The H. 539777 contract was awarded to Links in 1941. It is quite unusual to see electrically wired four panel jackets made by Links as Irvin Air Chute and Wareings were the main makers of such jackets. Your jacket has the typical rounded collar ends which is a feature of Links together with the medium sized collar rings and medium sized belt loops. It also has the bare metal eyelets on the belt and I suspect as the under-arm vent surrounds, features of this high volume maker.
