Did anyone else hear the piece on Public Radio (here in the states) yesterday about the Doolittle Raider's Reunion? Five raiders left, four were able to attend the reunion, which was held at the USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio. 20 some B-25's were flown in for the reunion by their owners. There was an interview with one of the raiders who parachuted from his plane as it ran out of fuel. He landed amongst friendly Chinese villagers and was spirited to allied lines. Later served in Europe where he was shot down and became a POW. I was half-listening (was at work) so didn't catch everything. It won't be long before that bottle of cognac gets opened!
