Current-Issue USAF A-2 Official Specifications?

Does anyone happen to know where I might locate the "mil spec" sheet (for lack of a better term) which identifies the design criteria for the current-issue USAF A-2s made by Cockpit USA?

You mean an actual Air Force pilot isn't allowed to see the specs for his own jacket? Eek!

This is all I found: https://assist.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/basic_profile.cfm?ident_number=115467 , but it's the 1995 spec without the current mods.

BTW, apparently that change occurred in 1999. I have two issued Avirex's. One with a 98 "SPO" number and another with a 99; both with the same NSN. The 98 is like the originals. The 99 Avirex has all the mods that we used to get done at Pop's Leather. It even has some kind of collar stand in the back that tapers down to nothing towards the sides/front.

I wish I could find someone who wants to trade a size 42 for a 44. It's unworn, except to try it on. I like it, but I don't need a size 44 with the underarm additions.

Thanks, that has what I was looking for.

I was actually curious about the specified size and location of the velcro patches. I'm kicking around the idea of buying a repro A-2 and having the velcro patches added so I can wear it as a uniform item. Since none of the repro makers do this, I just wanted to get it right.

If you get a repro A-2 and bring it to your Life Support shop (or whatever they are calling themselves now; I forget!), I'll bet they'll hook you up like a tow truck and sew on your velcro.

Possibly, yes. Might take some beer or something, though.... :)
