Boot guidance needed

During WW2 US Navy shore based types such as seabees, beach battalions and so on were issued work boots procured on a local purchase.
These have often been erroneously captioned as paratrooper boots in pictures (although the issue of paratrooper boots also happened for the same purpose) they are more of a type of lace to toe logger boot but 12 eyelets tall or so, Lacing with eyelets and hooks.

As buzz rickson types are too short and modern traditional logger types have that bizzare cuban heel affair. I was looking at Brown danner boots which I would then get a cobbler to fit a more retro style sole, diamond grip, cats paw type or similar to.

Anyone know of any alternatives that dont require the frankenstein treatment?
