An exciting find made by Flight Apparel Industries, Inc of Hammonton, NJ, under contract 1982-1.

JUST IN TIME FOR VETERANS DAY This jacket is 1 of a lot of 12 commissioned by Then PRESIDENT GW Bush for himself & his cronies for a trip they all took together. The jacket belongs to a friend who has graciously put it on the block. Please check out the contract #'s You will see its authentic & by Presidential Commission. Only 12 exist in the world of this lot. You might see others BUT not with this contract #. This is the official contract from GWB himself. Jacket is in excellent condition aside from some very minor pilling on the inner back of the waistband. Leather is still soft. Liner is perfect. PIC # 3 says USN (United States Navy) . This jacket is a true collectors item. Please do some research you will see only jackets with the serial or contract numbers denote that it was a military issue or in this case a Presidential Commission.

It's absolutely a false claim. Flight Apparel Industries ceased production after its owner died in a Cessna/Mooney plane collision in 1986, and that was during Reagan's presidency. The number 1982-1 is on the label of all Flight Apparel G-1s.

The lady selling this seems to be passing along this (amusing and utter nonsense) story from the person who sold it to her. I sent her links to two other jackets on eBay with the exact same label.
