Flipped on AMC on Saturday morning and there was an interesting movie on, could have been a short, about training dogs for war use during WWII. I wonder how accurate it was since it was the Coast Guard training the dogs, and all the handlers were wearing A2'S. The film was in black and white and the listing on cable didn't match what was actually on so I don't know the name or year of the film. Did the CG k-9 units wear A2's and drag their dogs off to service in the Pacific? I would have expected the CG to wear M422's and stay State side. Every dog handler wore an A2, most were pretty poor fitting, really over-sized. Did anyone else see this, just wondering if there was any reality, or just a mid 50's flick that counted on people not noticing details?
