89th Fighter Squadron "Burma Banshee" Five Star Leather A2 Dubow 27798

Hello everyone, I took advantage of Shawn's 20% end of year sale and bought their reproduction JA Dubow 27798 A2 using their own inhouse 100% veg-tanned goatskin and 100% wool dull purple knits. The fit is great and the leather is awesome. I love the Not many chocolate brown color of the leather that so many original A2's had. Instead most repro manufacturers go for either Seal Brown or Russet. I also added reproduction patches made by Sean Collins. I decided to make this my Burma Banshee A2 so I have a reproduction multipiece leather 89th Fighter Squadron patch, a reproduction leather name tag with my name written in English, Urdu and Mandarin as I've seen on many original CBI A2's. I also have a CBI patch on the left sleeve and an AAF patch on the right. On the back I had an all leather 48 star American Flag blood chit sewn on. Looking at original pictures of the Burma Banshees it seems they all had a 48 star blood chit sewn on the backs of their A2's.

The only minor peccadillo is with the color of the name tag. Sean did his best to match the color of several originals that ranged from reddish orange to a burgundy/wine color and the red you see was the closest he could get. A minor detail but I still love it.
