hello,

i discover on ebay 2 nice jackets.
i was tempted, but not really the good moment....
but after one day, i can't resist anymore.
go back in my ebay listing and jump on it.

those two jackets seems to be unworn or so few that they look brand new.
both made by Alpha Industrie
and both for a reasonnable price.

just one question : is it a good buy ? what think the specialists of the quality (accurate repro) and material used by Alpha Industrie ?

I had one of Alpha's Vintage series B-15(mod) jacket an used it as a regular wearer especially over several winters and had no issues with it at all; it was warm, comfortable and went through many soakings (rain and snow and sea water!) and lasted well. The knits started to go in the end and finally it went AWOL during my divorce/moving home. I bought it from American Classics in London for around £90 back then. You should enjoy them.

I have one of those B15-D, very warm and comfy jacket, fluffy enough but that doesn't bother that much.
Nice catch.

thankssssssss

just for info,
price for L-2 is 59 gbp / 65 euros.
price for B-15 is 65 gbp / 71 euros.
i think it's a good (friendly) price.

i don't know if it's welcome to speak about price......
if wished; mod's may delete this part of the post.

Hi Marcel,

I hope you like the jackets - I'll be posting them to you tomorrow morning, so you should have them in a few days.

It's a shame that neither of them fitted me - I would have kept them if they did! Glad they've gone to a good home.

Cheers,

Jon

thanks Jon,

it was a pleasure

not fitting perfectly is not yet a real problem, why don't you kept your jackets just as ''collectable''.?.
no place enough ??

pitty my bank account is not as big as all my envy :D

Hi Marcel,

It's not the lack of space, more the case of my wife saying "why keep it if you can't wear it?" and "haven't you already got a jacket like that?"!!!

I just hope she doesn't look in the wardrobe in my office...... crikey!

Chers,

Jon

You will like them marcel, I had the L-2A in large for a few years but finally sold it because I really need and extra large. have been looking foir one for a while...

Not a perfect repro by any means, but great daily wearer and pretty well made jacket. I also have the B-15C in the vintage series, wear it alll the time in the winter.
Cheers

endlessly they are at home.
after several days of strike in belgian postal services.

the L-2a fit me perfectly, Murielle say a little too small.
the B15D is a little too big (roomy) , Murielle say she is OK.
ahhhhhhhh those ladies....

i have in the idea to place a patch on the blue one, what do you think, have you idea, a good project for me.

this example is surely NOT accurate to the era of the jacket but will be nice and flashy
PICT0016-1-1.jpg

this one could be interesting but i don't like to place an original patch on a repro jacket
PICT0017-1-1.jpg

and this one will be good if i want to place my jacket on european country, the 55th was based in England.

tell me what you think of my idea, and don't hesitate to give me other options

when Murielle will be back home, i will request her to take two photos of me wearing my new jackets so that you can comment the fitting.

see you next

That L-2A looks very cool, Dujardin. I have an Alpha B-15D; wore it a bit last February and was warm and comfy in it. Enjoy. I like the patches. Go for it.

The L2 looks spot on to me Marcel - Mind how you go, or your A2 won't seem quite as comfortable as you remembered!

Ditto- the L-2A is perfect, B-15 a bit roomy, but would be good for the next really cold winter with room for a sweater under it...
Cheers
