some 25 years ago these steve a-2s were sold in army navy catalogs for a little over $100 or so, then they were offered as "on sale" for something like $50-60. funny thing is the maker [or the name] of these jacs has resurfaced and is offering the a-2s [new] again on greedbay. they used to be made of hh. they are now made of oink, boink, moo, or something. maybe the guy selling this one hasnt looked at comparable listings, and thinks he has an original, genuine, from the vet wwll a-2. not.

SM Wholesale is selling McColgan A-2s on their web site now with a whole back story as to how this company came about. It also says they will be making the A-2s for the Zamperini story.

There are sure a bunch of "middle-of-the-road" A-2 offerings for all the complaints we've heard lately.
Of course many look "not bad" until held in the hand.
Anyone have one of these?

i had one back in the day. they were ok. and, for pocket money they were fine for every day wearing.i do remember though, mine was a caramel russet hh, and had orang arms.
