Lovely original A-1 Pilot. I searched here in the Uk for an original but finding an unmessed example proved very difficult or too costly.
Oh I can believe, I had a nice Luftwaffe fliegeruhr watch years ok but it wasn't 100% complete due to the Russians seizing the factories in 1945 and making their own parts

I am quite happy with the watch although quite pricey at £275 and I got hit with £57 import duty and vat.postal tracking wasn’t that good and I was quite worried as I heard nothing for weeks and when I called Royal mail they said it looked as it had gone missing . all ok In the end though. Timeworn didn’t seem to want to know once it was posted.I did think it was a bit strange as there was only 1 review on their website.don’t think I’ll buy from them again.

Hello Everyone!

here is my favorite ( and only ) real watch.

it's an U212 from Sinn Spezialuhren zu Frankfurt am Main.

Whats special about it is that its from an Company in Frankfurt ( a short distance from my hometown )
its a divers watch and it is made out of german u-boat steel.

In the Background of the picture is the ECB - the European Central Bank.

German U boat Steel ?
That’s a new one I haven’t seen before. Last week I was at a knife show in Atlanta Georgia and Boker Knife Company had pocket knives made from the steel of
1. The Tirpitz Battleship
2. An ME109
3. A P-51 D Mustang
I’m waiting for a knife or a watch made from
A Tiger Tank . You just know it’s on the drawing board somewhere. ;)

Hello B-Man2,

i think i have to provide additional info, because my description could be missleading.

the watch is not made from steal from an WW2 Uboat or steel that has been broken off or reforged from an submarine.

It is made of the steel that is used to make the Type U212 Submarines, but the steel from my watch has not been part of a submarine. I think because of this the watch is called U212.
