    Another Erich Hartmann flight jacket

looks a bit like what Noble House are offering as their "H-219 Uhu" jacket... https://www.noble-house.eu/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=45&language=en

    Advice on repro ANJ4/M444/M445?

Interesting - and tempting - idea. Thanks, john. Especially since Whitefeather have upped their price to 1200 Euro, which is a 360 USD plus from when you got yours...

    20FG gold leaf jacket art

Alright, I did find the note I had sent jack for info on his patch in 1992. Her is a scan including his remarks. It was on this occassion that I learned that his original A-2 was "liberated" from him in '45 and decided to try and send him a patch version of it. He ended up putting it on a mall...

    Advice on repro ANJ4/M444/M445?

Thanks for the pointer, they do look really good. Does your recommendation mean to avoid the 444s in general? An ANJ-4 is on my list eventually, but currently prioritized behind one of the shorter-pile models, of which the m444 is the preferred one.

    Advice on repro ANJ4/M444/M445?

That's straight-forward advice, John. ("Pilot" seems to approve, too. ) Thank you, especially since you have personally owned and handled a Whitefeather M-444 . Just to clarify, "Aero" is Aeroleather in Scotland, right? Didn't know they made a triple-4 and couldn't find one on their website. I...

    Advice on repro ANJ4/M444/M445?

Thanks MikeyB-17. Interesting. soeither US Authentic has changed the design of their jacket since you had yours (shorte fleece, no overlap behind collar) or they are using outdated pics on theri website. Your (ex)jacket does look nice from your photos. Although for my (soem time in the future)...

    20FG gold leaf jacket art

Hi Silver Surfer, I just found a good resolution version of the exact same image being used on the "Jack M. Ilfrey" entry on wikipedia. You can clearly see the stitching holes of a previous rectangular name tag... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1d/Jack_Ilfrey_FRE_000107.jpg

    20FG gold leaf jacket art

I have a signed print of that photo, it is profesionally framed, so a scan might have too much reflection from the glass and I am reluctant to tear the frame assembly apart. I will try though. Also, I did back then, make a sketch of the artwork based on the picture and sent it to Jack for info...

    20FG gold leaf jacket art

Dear all, has anyone here ever come across an original 20th FG jacket with similar artwork on it as seen in the picture of Jack Ilfrey in his A-2? http://veterantributes.org/Photos/JackMIlfrey.jpg I communicated a bit with Jack back in the 90s and he told me that his and other, similar...

    Advice on repro ANJ4/M444/M445?

Hello everyone, I am a newby member and for years have been toying with the idea of getting myself a nice M-444. I missed out on RMcNZ, very much like the look of the Goodwear(s) and from what i have seen here the Whitefeather for the smaller price tag. Which brings me to US Authentic's M-444...
