Be careful dry cleaning. Years back I once took identical jacket to cleaners. Came back with collar shrunk down to about half it's original size. Basically wrecked the jacket!

The later age of the jacket makes it 101% impossible for it to be a WW2 era original. Best thing you could do is refund the guy you sold it to who seems like a decent fellah and bought in good faith...

Thanks. The jacket was actually saved from being trashed / turned into landfill. Someone had recently thrown it out. Looking closer the ribbing does look like quite likely replaced. The colour is interesting as windflap area and interior a distinctly different colour more of a drab olive than...

Over the last 20 years or so had dozens of older pre war jackets with various Talon / Crown / Hookless brand zippers. Never seen the Kwik variety until this jacket came along. Also don't recall seeing it in any publications or online auctions. Learn something new every day. Who'd a thunk it?
