With colder weather approaching, any suggestions for a good-looking VEST under my A-2 for casual wear? I tried sweaters, but don't like the feel of it under my jacket.
Thanks "B-Man2"! Flightjackets.com responded to my email and are willing to custom-make one if I provide the hide. A friend owns a Flightjacket.com A-2 and their quality is acceptable though not as nice as G&B. I found hide sources on ebay, so I need leather hide specs for the jacket -...

If you are trying to even out the colored areas with the bare areas, try Pecard's Waterproof Brown. It's the same formula as Pecard's Classic/Antique with a russet/brown coloring added. Another option is Meltonian shoe cream available in a multitude of colors.

I bought my A-2 slightly big so I could wear a sweater underneath. Layering is the best way to beat the cold. Undershirt, fleece shirt, sweater and A-2 on top.
"Earth vs the Flying Saucers" - Hugh Marlow wore an A-2. The first time he wore an A-2 was as Lt. Col. Ben Gately in "12 O'Clock High".
