    1933 IRVIN IN MINT CONDITION!

.....and it's a wonderful letter too, isn't it - very informative and beautifully handwritten. I always meant to frame it to display with the jacket. I bought the book myself (Aeroplane Affair). Having sold off most of my collection over the last decade I now seem to have been bitten by the...

    1933 IRVIN IN MINT CONDITION!

John, I used to own this jacket and it looked even more like a brand new Eastman back then than it does now! I can see that the guy I sold it to in 1999 must have worn it a couple of times. I bought it from Buck Taylor's son back in 1991 and when I opened the box I was quite simply stunned by...

My immediate reaction was shock horror as I hate taking pix, but I do have a few in my files already for one reason or another - also some pics of jackets I've sold. If I have time I...

    Spanish Civil War jackets 1937-38

yikes! I loathe and hate digital photography with a vengeance! Partly because my camera is crap, partly because I have to do a lot of it as part of my vintage business, and partly because life's too short. But I'll have a look through my photo files and see what there is already......

    Spanish Civil War jackets 1937-38

most of the Lincoln Brigaders' jackets look like American jackets to me - the main clue is the knitted waist and cuffs. In Europe (especially the UK, but also France and Spain) leather jackets of similar design (patch flapped pockets etc) were very common, but usually with button or snap cuffs...
