Original Poughkeepsie A2, size 42 - all original except the wrist and waist knits which I had replaced (still kept the originals though) - and the liner has faded to almost orange towards the neck, with some small rips, holes and darning…

Swopped it out for my mint Willis & Geiger M422a - size 42 - and named in the liner (any blemishes you see is dust and crud on the mirror I took the pic in - been doing some DIY - not the jacket)

Agreed, I think more a functional thing....I will put some feelers out with a few friends of mine that are ex U.K. military but have friends who are ex US army vets - see if they have any remembrances about this - a long shot but you never know, would be interesting to find out
