Got mine today. It's a great jacket right inline with reviews from Ritchy and Brett. The fit is spot on. I'm quite pleased.

Hi Ritchy, I have this same AVI jacket in transit to me now. It should arrive here sometime next week. My chest measures is about 42" so I ordered a 44". Keeping my fingers crossed it will fit and I won't have to send it back.

Maybe the result of Chrome tanning vs veg. tanned? GIbson and Barnes went from Veg tanned to chrome tanned goat skin, both of which I have, and the chrome tanned goat is stretchy like that. Regarding your m422a seizing, for reference, what is your chest measurement?

Agreed, my chest measures about 44". AVI's sizing chart for a size 44 chest measurement is pretty close to 47". Hopefully that would be enough.

Hi Brett, Just now reading your great review. Does AVI sew elastic in the back panel if this jacket to help keep the bi swing from "bat winging"?

Hi Guys, Does anyone here have one of Shawn's ANJ-3 jackets? Thinking about getting one in Seal steer hide and am wondering how they fit and if there are any issues with "bat winging". I have a few of their A2s but nothing like a 5* G1 to compare it to. Anyway any input would be appreciated.

Yes they are a Marine Squadron at Miramar MCAS. My son was in this Squadron years ago.

I've had the pair shown in the pic for many years. They are from Olathe Boot Company. They're pretty good boots.

Lol, I grew up in the state of Wyoming where cowboy boots were worn by pretty much everyone including me. My feet adapted to them I guess.

I really like it. The leather is soft and broke in very quickly. The seal brown is on the darker side but still in the acceptable range for authenticity in my opinion. Shawn and his guys did a great job on it. I did ask him to trim up the sleeve a bit so that they weren't quite so loose.

My newest 5 Star Seal HH Dubow.

Not exactly WWII issue but they are comfortable, lol.
