Les, in both the Marine Corps and Navy, repro, vintage, and modified issued jackets are all worn. In fact I wore all types while I was on active duty. I prefer vintage originals, but many repro (G&B, Osan specials, and high end manufactures) are all represented. Unfortunately only a few...
Thanks to everyone for the comments; I am very pleased with the jacket. Carlo, the leather is GW's LHJ105, the darkest seal available. John said this HH was the most accurate reproduction given the color most commonly seen on 1755s. I also liked the way it set the purple color knits apart...
I'm trying to fix the link issue by reviewing the post photos page again, but as far as I can tell, I haven't screwed anything up. Is there a size limitation on posted photos?
I recently received my new GW Dubow 1755 from John, and as everyone can attest, his jackets are amazing. I've owned two previous GWs, a Bronco (goat), Poughkeepsie (horse) and now this Dubow. Since I'm a dyed in the wool M-422A/G-1 fan, I am now finally happy with the size and feel of an A-2...
767FO,
I have a Cagleco 7823 Sz 46; the pit-pit measurement is 24 inches front and back. Shoulder measurement is 18.5 inches. This jacket is the only Sz46 I have ever seen up for sale. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Mowgli
If you want authenticity, don't sew the F-4C patch on the jacket; neither the Navy nor the USMC flew this variety of Phantom. The correct patch would be for a F-4B (RF-4B), F-4J, or F-4S.

Enjoy the jacket in good health,; it fits you wonderfully! The jacket's leather is incredible, and coupled with the dimensions, it is a unique jacket.

The 55J14 was purchased from...
I have also collected primarily 55J14/G-1 jackets, and after either owning or examining most brands and models, the Star 55J14 is my favorite. I really like the leather on these jackets: soft, medium weight, with loads of character. The pockets have a very classic sculpted design, while the...
Gents,
A few have asked about the G-1s I intend on selling. The first jacket is a 1964 Ralph Edwards G-1 (7823 C) and the second is a late 50's LW Foster G-1 (7823 AER); both are in outstanding condition. The RE has extremely soft leather (completely different from another RE jacket I...
Good catch, I made a typo on the description and listed 28.5 vice 26.5 for the sleeve length. As far as the reason I'm selling, I bought John's first Poughkeepsie A-2 about 2 months ago, and since I'm mostly a G-1 wearer, this jacket isn't used much. I have been refining my G-1 collection to...
Gents,
