Why get an M422 instead of an M422A? Are you aware of the differences?

Just a 1973 7823E I picked up for 150€ on ebay last week. As soon as the leather name tag arrives it will be sewn on and go as a gift to a neighbor.

I would never buy it. Too small, too beat up, funky chicken patches. I favor things I could wear. I am not much of an A2 fan although the repro market is rife with older folks who look pretty silly wearing them, in my opinion.
