I meant shortening. Don’t have particularly long arms and the stock sleeves were very long on me so I took them to a tailor who removed the cuff, shortened the sleeves and put the cuffs back. Looked same as new.
One of the reasons I own an Avi and not a Five Star is the fit. I’m a pretty standard size and I don’t want to send in detailed measurements to get a great fitting jacket. My Avi M422A seems nice to me and fits like a dream after I got the sleeves shortened, while I’ve seen a bunch of Five Stars...
But I like the snap down collar and horsehide on this model.
Pocketwise, the pocket on my M-422A is great - I think side entry pockets like that are often more useful than top entry. But if you want top entry, snaps are nice

I would wear this. Don’t care that much about authenticity, love the bi-swing back on my M-422A from y’all but have been looking for a similar jacket without a fur collar as the fur is very nice but can be hot. Is there a closure on the inside pocket?
Not the best picture, but after hemming the sleeves and bringing it on vacation as my only jacket - it’s a really nice everyday wearer. The fur can be a bit hot, but it definitely looks great.

Wife wasn't home so here's 2 quick iPhone selfies of the jacket I grabbed off Avi's recent sale. It's a modified M-422a with handwarmer pockets and a brown lining. Bought it as a beater and definitely think it’ll do the trick.
