BR Curtiss contractor jacket on the way

    Fascinating read.

What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

Dibley, The 1968 pattern smocks are dope. I bought a few this summer. If you find any others in that kind of shape in size 2 let me know.

    New Aero B-10

How are the sleeves on these? Original photos seem to show that the B-10 had pretty slim cut sleeves, or atleast ones that narrowed significantly from the shoulder to the cuff.

Where to Get Leather Insignia Sewn on Jackets?

When I got home I looked at the other patched up B-15 I have. I didn't realize that my seamstress sewed up just the top edge of the inside pocket. The placement of the of the patch on that jacket is identical to the jacket I dropped off. Honestly I never even noticed the top edge of the pocket...

Where to Get Leather Insignia Sewn on Jackets?

I just dropped off one of my Buzz Rickson B-15s at the cobbler to have a leather patch and name plate added. In the past I've had a cobbler replace a leather nameplate without any issues, but the squadron patch was cloth and so my seamstress sewed it on. When I dropped off the jacket the...

Original B-15 at Rose Bowl Flea Market

I was at the Rose Bowl flea market on Sunday and saw this original B-15. It has definitely seen better days, but I snapped some quick photos anyway. Is that red leather backing something that was done post-war, maybe to patch the mouton, or is it original to WWII production...

    Compliments on Your Jacket

I was wearing my Buzz Rickson B-15 (patched to the 587th BS) in Asheville, NC last weekend when a guy at the bar asked me about it. He said he really liked the jacket and wanted to buy one for his Dad, who was in the Air Force in Vietnam. I told him it was a WWII era jacket and he told me that...

WWII Impressions boot restocking about to start

That used be true when ATF was having all of their boots made in China. Now there are two (three if you count Buzz when they make them) companies making almost identical high-quality boots, ATF and WWII Impressions - and everyone else who makes "decent" to "garbage" footwear (SM Wholesale, WPG...

WWII Impressions boot restocking about to start

Don't forget At the Front. Their GI boots are also made by Cove and the boondockers have the corded sole. Until 12 months ago WWII Impressions and Buzz Rickson were the only two offering quality GI footwear but now At the Front is offering the same or almost identical boots as WWII Impressions...

    B-10 Red Knits

I'd read this thread if you haven't already. A very good discussion of the accuracy of the red knits: http://www.vintageleatherjackets.org/threads/best-b-10-repro.9274/page-2
