I'll try airing it out again once the rain stops here.

    Help: BR MA-1 Smell

Should I try dry cleaning it first? After all it has no decals and isn't a historical piece.

    Help: BR MA-1 Smell

Greetings: My Black Buzz MA-1 developed a smell when I wore it on a long passenger flight. Since then I've hung it inside out to air out, sometimes the smell subsides and comes back. And no it doesn't smell like "me", more like a general mildew smell. Although this is the Cayce Pollard MA-1 in...

My Alpha MA-1 arrived...... made in China!?

MA-1 has not been current issue since the 70's, the current issue is the CWU series (the 36 light zone is already phasing out, the 45 is also due to retire in favor of the new modular flight clothing made from technical fabrics). Aero Leather Scotland Aero Flight series A-2 type Jacket

I have one of these in what they called "jerky" horsehide, slightly mismatched. My understanding is the Aero Flight label was used for a number of reduced-price jackets, including jackets made by novice sewers, as well as the indian goat and others.

    MA-1 or L2-B ???

I realize this is unhelpful, but I would think that the answer would depend upon whether the jacket is insulated.
