Marcel,
Didn't post it but I am leaving the forum. Wanted to give you my email in case you want to keep in touch.

Searching for it I found a cool coffee mug, group pics, etc. I have my uncles class photo but it slit and broke in multiplier spots when unrolled. I might look for 9ne in better shape. Thanks for the reminder! A lot of history at that base.

Pilot,
Did you ever get a chance to zip the jacket to the trouser's leg zip? If, as you mentioned, "their backened separating Talon zippers" are the same size and interchangeable with the wartime jacket zips(for restorations) I have yet to see such a pair. All A-11 trousers I have ever seen...
Carl, mine has a Kover zip as well. That said I haven’t seen a repro, even a Walden’s, with that type of covered zip. Walden does have nice repros but I don’t know if they have reproed that one. Perhaps a maker here who uses their zips will know if it’s in their catalogue.
Don’t give up yet.

Great pics! I need to buzz up there one day. Is the display viewable only when there is someone present. I have wanted to set up something similar but just not sure how to keep people's hands off of that stuff.

I think there is a dual sport Kawasaki that I have seen in modern US military livery. I was told they are currently used but never researched it.
I hope to see it if "The Battle in Dakar" ever shows in the theater!
