Interesting points, a G-1 looks a hell of a lot more complex than an A-2 but the price difference is negligible. Still good deals on the civilian jackets regardless.

I wonder why the gaping price difference between this and the half belt?? This seems like a more complex design-though I could be wrong. Or is horsehide more expensive than goatskin?

Does anybody have any idea what these are? They appear from time to time, have a uniform design (but different hides) and someone suggested they might be Czech air force. Removable wool lining and moleskin lining underneath. Note the sleeve tightening tabs are on opposite sides!

I would add to the above that when some people save their leather jacket for a night out as opposed to wearing it to the supermarket, on a hike etc they are denying themselves the joy of thoroughly breaking it in and giving it unique character.
